“For
Peace of Mind, Light it Up!”
Beaumont, Texas – When the sun goes
down, most of us get ready for a good night’s sleep, doors locked and homes
secure. And now, Entergy Texas, Inc. is ready to help keep you safe.
The company began offering security
lighting to residential, commercial and industrial customers in January with a
theme of “For Peace of Mind, Light it Up!”
“Security lighting is an important
concern to our customers,” said Vernon Pierce, customer service director,
Entergy Texas, Inc. “Thieves and burglars don’t like to go about their business
where they can be seen. We are very pleased to add security lighting to our
business and bring our expertise to bear for the benefit of our customers.”
Security lights begin with a 100-watt
high-pressure sodium light suitable for a home. High-pressure sodium floodlights
are also available in 100-, 400- and 1,000-watt sizes. Metal halide floodlights
that provide high-resolution color are available in 1,000-watts. Small
installation fees are charged, depending on the size of the light.
Customers are charged monthly for the
lights with the charge added to existing bills. The charges vary depending on
the light’s wattage and currently begin at about $10 per month. If a pole must
be installed, an additional fee will be charged.
No fee is charged for regular
maintenance and even if the light and pole are destroyed in a weather event,
such as a hurricane, it will be replaced free of charge to the customer.
“We use industry standard products,”
Pierce said. “They are fully tested, weather-resistant and commercial-grade. Our
installers are fully trained electrical workers who keep safety first and
foremost in their work.”
